"The Old Post Ain't What it Used to Be"
As our population ages, so do the net posts that were installed long ago. Hopefully, it is one that was put in sleeves and age has not welded it permanently in place. Or worse, installed directly into a concrete footing. A quick change out with the latest model brings safety and eliminatescourt down time due to malfunctions and failures. But what does one do when you just can't get them our of the ground? The choice has been to "dig the whole thing up, replace and repair the court." ADVANTAGE TENNIS SUPPLY has an alternative. As one of the few manufacturers of 3.5 inch diameter round post, we supply the post to slip fit over top of the existing 2.875 inch round one. Anyone can do it! Simply cut off the old post at 15-18 inches above the playing surface. Slip fit the new post over and begin play at once. No digging, no concrete footings to replace, no court damage and down time is less than one hour. The retro post comes in green or black, with lacing rods, and a steel or aluminum crank. With this approach,"the old post ain't what it used to be, it's far better!" Advantage Tennis Supply is a division of FEMCO Corporation, headquartered in Richmond,Virginia. Advantage Tennis Supply, Division of FEMCO Corporation of Richmond, Virginia, announces added benefits to their line of tennis posts. Both the Fast Drop External Wind and the Sure Drop Internal Wind tennis net posts now have steel black powder-coated lacing rods at no additional cost. The rods are not welded but attached by zinc coated Tek screws at five points to ensure durability. The posts are completely submerged in GEN II quick drying color, meaning that every inch of the SS 40 galvanized pipe is covered inside and out. All of the drilling and tapping is done prior to coating, so even these areas are coated! Other components of the Advantage line of tennis posts consist of aluminum, brass and/or stainless steel to provide years of service.
